Hello everyone!

My name is Danielle Barrett and I am an independently contracted Signing Time Academy instructor, local to Fort McMurray, AB. I am passionate about bringing families closer together by giving them a means to communicate effectively starting in infancy, well before verbal communication can be achieved. I absolutely LOVE children and I LOVE Sign Language! I have over 17 years experience working with newborn - preschool age children in a variety of settings. 

I am a preschool teacher by trade, as well as an Educational Assistant for Speech/Language delays. I am trained in Montessori philosophy and I am constantly learning more about education and combining many techniques and methods to better connect with and help each child learn in their own unique way.

I started my Baby Signing Time journey over 4 years ago when my first child was just 6 months old. I am now a Mom of 2 and we use sign language in our home daily! It has become part of who we are, not just something we do.
